At the heart of Publicis Groupe’s global operations lies the Power of One—a belief in breaking down silos and enabling collective creativity. When translated into physical space, this idea took form as a ecosystem within the group’s new Shanghai headquarters.
Working alongside the project team, UFOU supported the realization of this multi-level environment by providing furniture, contributing to a workplace that encourages open exchange, creative flow, and a connected way of working.
A Creative Ecosystem
This landmark building brings together multiple agencies across eight floors, forming a
unified creative ecosystem.
Inspired by traditional Chinese courtyards and the dynamic spirit of the city, the workplace introduces a
new model of
working—highly collaborative, flexible, and designed to amplify synergy across teams.
Colors That Define Each Floor
Through a carefully layered color strategy, each floor is defined by a distinct atmosphere
shaped by specific hues,
materials, and details—balancing the individual identities of multiple agencies.
A Staircase That Connects
The sculptural central staircase breaks down the physical separation between floors. Like a
living artery, it connects
what were once isolated teams into a vibrant community, creating countless moments of spontaneous encounter.
Torii in Structure and Function
Set within colored glass partitions, Torii’s clean, structured geometry supports a workspace
that feels open while
maintaining a sense of order and focus. The table legs can be specified in different colors to match the
surrounding
palette, and power access and cable management are fully integrated to keep the workstation clean and
organized.
Chips for Social Moments
With its signature minimalist silhouette, Chips stools bring a light, dynamic presence to
shared areas. Their
lightweight design softens the boundary between work and social spaces, keeping the environment open and
visually fluid
while offering comfortable seating.
Lite Layer for Close Communicatio
A series of glass-enclosed meeting rooms provides focused spaces for discussion. Paired with
occasional tables, Lite
Layer creates an open yet intimate setting that supports efficient communication and direct interaction.
Publicis Groupe’s Shanghai headquarters is conceived as a vertical city—where space, culture, and
brand come together to
support creativity and continuous growth, offering a forward-looking model for the future workplace.
